Soaked

Rain, rain, go away! We have been so lucky to have nice weather yet it is starting to feel like spring with all of the rain. The other night we were out at Sam's club getting a few items and then we were ready to check out. Not so fast, just as we were trying to leave we were told to go back inside the store and move to the middle of the building. We could hear tornado sirens going off during this commotion. Will wanted to just leave and drive away because he did not want hail to hit our car. I on the other hand wanted to just seek safe shelter and the car was the least of my worries. I just stood there and imagined a big tornado ripping off the roof and scattering those heavy pallets across our heads. Nothing happened and we were able to leave a little while later. I know that I need to give heed to those warning signs and not pretend that we are in the desert where nothing abruptly occurs. It turns out that there was a tornado that touched down about two miles from our home. We were so soaked from walking out to our car that we just let the kids play in the rain.

nanci- sounds like brandon and will think alike and you and I think alike... I too would be imagining the huge pallets crashing down on my head! I'm always the 'worst case scenerio' person...

How fun! Texas storms are brutal and we get the tornado sirens all of the time. It can be pretty scary. We have spent our fair share of rainy nights playing in the rain too. The kids love it! Glad you thought to snap some cute photos of it! Miss you guys!
