The kids

I feel bad that most of these pictures are of Olivia. I need to make a better effort in the future to take pictures of the kids instead of always the baby.

Rex bought himself a camera using his money from the tooth fairy. The cost was $1.00 Can't beat that. It is a spy camera, so he can only see out the side of the camera instead of directly in front.

I think that these Bumbo seats are way over priced. Yet, I found myself wanting one very badly. What did I do you ask? My mom sent me some cash in the mail for my birthday and told me to spend it on myself and not on the kids..... well I just had to buy the Bumbo seat and figured that it is kinda for myself.

Winter Blah.......

Last winter was so bitter cold that we hardly went outside. This year it has been so great that Rex and Ella spent many days in the snow enjoying themselves to the fullest. The only way I could get them to come inside each time was to bribe them with hot chocolate. It worked every time.

It has been so warm this winter that we were treated with icicles this year. The last couple of years it has been too cold for this to happen.

Extra bonus with the blue sky....we do not like gray skies over here.

Yes, it does get old looking at a huge mountain of white blah. Rex named it his "cake mountain." Ella took it upon herself to literally eat from it each time she climbed it.

Rex's Teeth

At the beginning of February Rex lost 2 of his bottom teeth. I was totally caught off guard by the whole thing. He came home from school one day and he could show me that his tooth was wiggling. I immediately thought that he fell down really hard. So, I started to send an email to his teacher asking her if he fell down or something at school. Half way through the email I started to feel like a typical "helicopter parent" and decided quickly that I was overreacting. I assumed that he was too young to loose his teeth. The next thing I know, Rex is showing me that he could wiggle his other tooth and that was when I realized his teeth were coming out and it was totally normal. Then I thought to myself, "Oh shoot, I have to explain the whole tooth fairy thing quickly before this tooth comes out." His classmates and friends have not lost any teeth, so I needed to explain everything in a hurry. It was no big deal to him, he was more interested in seeing the tooth fairy during the night.
