At the beginning of February Rex lost 2 of his bottom teeth. I was totally caught off guard by the whole thing. He came home from school one day and he could show me that his tooth was wiggling. I immediately thought that he fell down really hard. So, I started to send an email to his teacher asking her if he fell down or something at school. Half way through the email I started to feel like a typical "helicopter parent" and decided quickly that I was overreacting. I assumed that he was too young to loose his teeth. The next thing I know, Rex is showing me that he could wiggle his other tooth and that was when I realized his teeth were coming out and it was totally normal. Then I thought to myself, "Oh shoot, I have to explain the whole tooth fairy thing quickly before this tooth comes out." His classmates and friends have not lost any teeth, so I needed to explain everything in a hurry. It was no big deal to him, he was more interested in seeing the tooth fairy during the night.

This one made me laugh. That's such an awesome picture!! Luckily you probably didn't have to overreact too much since Will is a dentist and all ;) Anyway, CONGRATS to Rex - that's super exciting!!
That's so funny. The tooth fairy has to be extra careful and make sure he is really asleep :) So he doesn't see her.
