Eagle's Nest. Rex and Ella trying out their stunt dares in the mystery ball pit.
Curious George and Ella. This is probably the least expensive toy that Ella owns and is probably her favorite one too. She just thinks the world of Curious George. For two days straight she kept saying "E-L-L-A spells Curious George." I guess her love for the little monkey runs deep within.
Eagle's Nest. Everyone appears to be happy while this photo was being taken. I don't know why but something always goes wrong each time Rex and Ella venture out into one of these twisting tube things. Moments later I heard the piercing cry of Rex's voice soon followed by Ella and then I was up and climbing in those urine stinkin' tubes as quickly as my feet could move. I felt a bit sore later that day from climbing up and around in toys designed for tiny bodies.
Lake Gervais. We finally made it out to a real lake. Will and I were lucky enough to fly high on the back of some tubes as a boat pulled us out on the lake. No pictures of that event. I have to say that I somehow managed to never fall off and Will gave in and let go at the end of the tubing ride.
Rex saw me wearing headphones as I was cleaning up the kitchen. So he decided to create his own headphones by putting a string necklace on one ear and pulling it over to the other ear (and there is a whistle at the end of the string).
Children's Museum. We practically live here during the winter time and occasionally visit during the summer months (all 3 1/2 months of it).
Train Museum. We definitely rode on this train more than once. Here's a lovely shot of the train conductor and a great view of the back of Rex's head.
If it was up to Ella we would have stayed here for hours.
Testing water pressure
Mill City Museum. Customizing our own pancake boxes on top of a large pancake.
Figuring out how the logs went down the Mississippi River.
Mississippi River behind us.

What a fun mom you are, Nanci. And I wish for you to have an unseasonably WARM winter this time around!
Nanci, I think it is so great you take advantage of the weather and the area like you do. You will love every place you live because you take the time to explore it.
Thanks for the example and incentive.
Whenever my family went to the twin cities we always went to Valley Fair or Camp Snoopy. But I think Valley Fair is more for older kids. I'm sure they have rides for younger kids too, but going to Valley Fair costs some money and Camp Snoopy is called something else now. I think it is really neat that you take Rex and Ella out to all the places you find in the cities.
Nancy you look so beautiful! i think you are de-aging. So is there a nice bunch of student types where you are?
Wow, you really have gotten out to lots of places! Rex and Ella are such a fun age.
any post is better than no post. i need my nanci fix!
No, there are no other students in the area of where we live. I totally wish that it was like dental school but it's not and that's okay. Most students live closer to the city and we live far-far away.
Okay, I love these pictures! I must say that your post about Downey wrinkle-free spray stuff has changed my LIFE! I use it all the time. Like I won't fold my laundry right way so it gets wrinkles and I spray it and TA-DA just like new! So, thank you for blogging about Downey Spray!
Me too! I was curious so I bought some Downey wrinkle free stuff after I saw that post. I just used it like 10 minutes ago. I'm not kidding. I used it on the pants I am wearing to work tomorrow. Who needs an ironing board now that we have Downey Wrinkle Releaser?
