Fort Snelling Cemetery---On Memorial Day this year we decided to visit this amazing cemetery. It reminds me alot of the Arlington Cemetery. It was wonderful to see such a huge turnout from people all over. It was very humbling to be there and to look at all of those headstones and to think about the ultimate sacrifice that these individuals gave. I wish that I could thank them personally. Some of them served in wars from long-long ago earning metals and others served recently.
We saw this man at the entrance of the cemetery. He was saluting the flag in this photo. We were there for just over an hour and he was still saluting the flag when we left.

What a great idea and such a neat thing for you and your kids to see! We visited Grandpa Farnsworth's grave and lots of my relatives for Memorial day. It meant a lot to the kids to put flowers and flags on. Wish we would have gotten pictures!
